This tiny Northern Parula warbler appeared in my garden in November. He was out of season and out of place and earned a spot on the National Rare Bird Alert. He stayed a few days and left with my good wishes. I chose to depict him in a spring setting, reflecting my hopes that he made it through the winter and into the joy of spring.
